Marie Claire: September Issue

Mary-Kate is featured on Marie Claire's September issue and I think it looks AMAZING! It was shot in the Hamptons by Tesh. I love how different each page looks and how the styling uses different textures! The photo shoot is amazing. Mary-Kate revealed that, "When we were growing up, our mother taught us never to have your belly button exposed. We’ve always been attracted to longer layers, silhouettes."

Harper Bazaar also wanted a piece of the Olsen's and they too are featured in the Harper Bazaar magazine September issue shot by Hedi Slimane. I love the black and white pictures. They look great as well. Mary-Kate says, "We're either at home or here at the studio ... I think [the paparazzi] got bored of us."

They also do not fail to mention their aspirations! Ashley says she wants Michelle Obama in their clothing line, The Row, "I'd love to get Michell Obama in the Row. The simple suits and things. It's all made in America, so why not?" <3

Vogue: September Issue

After the documentary, The September Issue, Vogue has upped its expectations even more on this turn of the season magazine month. It has been revealed that Halle Berry is Anna Wintour's pick for Vogue. The issue hits stands August 24th. The photo shoot is elegant, but I feel as if there is nothing over the top the way Vogue usually does it. I love the lighting of the photography though. Velvet is definitely the styling theme. <3

the pixie cut x Emma Watson

Seen on Refinery 29, the cut this summer was the pixie crop cut. A daring venture for women, the latest to cut their hair short was Emma Watson. It definitely gives her a more sophisticated look. I love it. I think today, expression of style is more accepted than it ever was before, allowing women to cut their hair to a short boy crop or keep luscious locks. I think it looks amazing on Watson! <3

who is the then, now and next?

i-D magazine's September issues include Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lady Gaga, but on their own separate covers for you to pick which i-D girl is your favourite superstar. Rumour had it that Moss and Campbell refused to pose with Gaga. Probably because the cover states "Then Now Next". Leaves your mind to the imagination of who is who?

P.S. I love Kate Moss' hair! <3

why Lady Gaga believes in abstinence

Lady Gaga is known for her over-the-top skimpy yet fabulous and extravagant outfits. And she's the only one who can really pull it off. So being original and working against the norm, she yet remains to be an outlier. She mentions in the September issue of Vanity Fair that, "I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they're going to take my creativity through my vagina".

She's always had her own theories, and I respect her for being in the spotlight and standing her own ground. It's hard when everyone is trying to sway you in a different direction.

Vanity Fair's magazine came out Monday if you would like to check out the rest of Gaga's interview. <3
