wrong winner announced for Australia's Next Top Model

Wow! This is pretty rough!! It's a bit confusing at the beginning, but the announcer of Australia's Next Top Model announced the wrong winner and only realized it after the acceptance. Enough said. They couldn't change it because it was live! You can tell who she wanted to win! <3

Land Rover Evoque

I think it was back in July when I mentioned that Victoria Beckham was going to be a consultant for the new Land Rover Evoque. Well it has hit the market and is rounder than the usual Land Rover shape. I'm on the fence of whether I like it or not! <3

waxy with Gwen

On September 22, Gwen Stefani's wax figure at the Venetian in Vegas was revealed! I wish I was there! It definitely looks like her. <3

Lauren Conrad returns to TV

Lauren Conrad is coming back to MTV as the cameras follow he in developing her new fashion line and her other businesses. She doesn't want it to be about her personal life though, rather focusing on her work and her collection. I can't wait to see how it turn out! I believe they start filming sometime in October. <3

Marc Jacobs' online store

Welcome Marc Jacobs' to the wonderful world of e-commerce. He (or his minions) has set up a cute little site to feature his collections. It's like entering a store, and each different level is a different collection with sales people to help you out. I don't know if you remember, but years ago when Paul Frank first burst into the scene I think their website was similar. I still love it though! Check out his website here!<3

Mango x Olivia Palermo x Johannes Huebl

Mango will be featuring Olivia Palermo and her arm candy boyfriend, Johannes Huebl in their new ads. I guess they decided to ditch Scarlett Johansson. Can't wait to see the ads!

Katy cut

Katy Perry was supposed to make an appearance on Sesame Street, but they decided to cut her appearance due to poor parental feedback. They said she was baring too much. I can see it from a parents standpoint, but how about women superheroes and tween singer Miley Cyrus which many kids look up to as well? Anyhow, watch the clip of "Miss Katy's" appearance singing a song to the tune of "Hot n Cold" <3

coffee to rise in price

If you are hooked on Starbucks like I was with your pretty little drink made just for you, you better switch to another coffee bar unless you want to pay more. According to Starbucks, they are going to charge more for larger drinks and drinks which are labour intensive. This is due to the rising prices for coffee and other commodities. Be warned! When I heard this on the radio I was shocked! Pretty sure they just raised their coffee prices a year ago or so! <3

Zara knits

Popping into stores whenever I can and came across these fitted wannabe vintage knit pull-overs which are adorable! They are both $54.90 at Zara. The brown one has little elbow patches on them and I love the gray one! They are classic and not exactly your ugly Christmas sweater. You can pair them with a collared shirt and a pair of jeans to top off the look. <3

Ellen x the Olsens Twins

As we know, Ellen has quite the sense of humour. She had MK & A on her show and overwhelmed them with their favourite accessories. Huge sunglasses and oversized bags! <3

L,A,M.B. Spring 2011

Gwen Stefani brings on the drama for Spring 2011. I would have to say, some of the pieces are wild and out, but she has some dramatic pieces which I would definitely wear. Different from anything I have seen. I do like how Gwen mixes and matches and I am in love with the shoes for sure! The platforms are just never ending and make legs look amazing, completing the outfit!! Congrats Gwen for making it back into NYFW. <3

Jason Wu for TSE Spring 2011

Seriously, I am in love with this man for understanding women's fashion and knowing how to work it. It was so hard to pick from this line the images I wanted to use. I am in love with the netted sweater to the very left. That outfit is just divine. And the pants on the second image from the left. I could live in those! His designs are very contemporary, timeless and something to drool over. For the rest of the collection go to fashionologie. <3

Badgley Mischka Spring 2011

Love dresses. Love Badgley Mischka.

Their pieces are so romantic and so timeless. And they are so lovable. Powder colours including tones of blues and pinks and sheer fabrics with ever so delicate detail. <3

DKNY Spring 2011

I love these ready-to-wear pieces by Donna Karen. I liked her use of colour blocking and the flirty sense of style mixed with today's fashion. Very simple, sophisticated and girly. <3

best dream ever

So last night I had the most amazing dream.

I dreamt that I had relatives in New York, and my family and I took off to New York in the spur of the moment because we were invited. But the thing was that they didn't live in Manhattan. They lived in the outskirts, but on the most gorgeous property looking over water. We would have fabulous parties and they were quite well known in New York. Anyhow, we were invited to a benefit to raise money for AIDS I think it was. Everyone was there and it was simply amazing. It was a red carpet event. Everyone was mixing and mingling, and I got the opportunity to meet Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen and shake hands with them, take pictures with them and so on. They were down to earth, normal, gorgeous little people. I was asking them all the questions I could dream of.

It was probably one of my best dreams ever. <3

shoes after Blake

Blake Lively is seriously the "It" girl of the movement. She's full of life and the heads of fashion just love her, from Anna Wintour to Karl Lagerfeld. Now Christian Louboutin has also fallen for her spell. While she was filming in Paris, Christian Louboutin gave her a tour of the city on his scooter and showed her his atelier. She adored a certain pair of shoes, and he decided to name the pair after her! Jealous! <3

wishing I was in NY

Aside from Fashion Week in New York, Fashion Institute of Technology is also holding an Exhibition called Japan Fashion Now. It starts on Friday, Sept 17 and runs til Jan 8th. It displays Japanese fashion from their uniforms to harajuku street clothes. I wish I was there!!!! 6 hours away. <3

Barberis Aldo Boot

Yes please! I'm so obsessed with these military boots right now and I love love love how they are not completely black. More of a vintage feel for sure. They are called Barberis. They are $130 and the colour is called Black Miscellaneous. Aside from that, they are so practical and comfy and most of all they look good! <3

the double-buckle satchel

I have been so obsessed in finding the perfect double buckle satchel. I love this Marc by Marc Jacobs black leather bag for $480. It is known as The Sophie. You can get it at Net-A-Porter. Also, it comes with a longer strap for you to wear! <3

boyfit tuxedo pants

When Fall hits, everyone starts bringing out the pants and advertising or them. The biggest/largest campaigns I have seen have probably been Levi's and the Gap. I'm really digging the Boyfit Tuxedo Pants from Gap's Premium Pant collection. They are going for about $60. Isn't that swell. Something to look good in but won't break the bank. <3

what shall I wear today

Today I am feeling in the fall mood but it's gorgeously sunny.
So, I am wearing my:
Ecote Military Jacket in Green
H&M Button Down Shirt
Big Blue Denim Shorts
TNA Waffle Scarf in Charcoal

the meaty side of Gaga

I don't know about you but I was wondering if Lady Gaga's Matambre Meat Dress designed by Franc Fernandez was real meat or not. Apparently it WAS in fact real meat. I wonder if it smelt! Ofcourse, PETA made a statement about it:
In her line of business, Lady Gaga has a hard time being “over the top,” and wearing a dress made from cuts of dead cows is offensive enough to bring comment, but someone should whisper in her ear that there are more people upset by butchery than impressed by it—and that means a lot of young people will not be buying her records if she keeps it up. On the other hand, maybe it was fake, and she’ll talk about that later.

Meat is the decomposing flesh of an abused animal who didn’t want to die, and after time spent under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh that it is and likely be crawling in maggots—not too attractive, really.

If Lady Gaga continues to wear meat, the perfect accessory would be a PETA vegetarian/vegan starter kit. A lot of people will take one look and want one. It’s sending lots of people to PETA.org to download our kit, so I guess we should be glad. <3

The Row not in NYFW

Over the weekend, the Olsen twins announced that they had to postpone The Row's spring collection in New York. Apparently, this was due to receiving late samples. Instead they will be debuting the Spring 2011 line during Paris Fashion Week. I was so stoked to see it this week though! <3

Victoria Beckham Spring 2011

Victoria Beckham brought Spring 2011 to the runway with many of her A-line dresses. There were only a handful which I liked in particular. I really like the simplicity of the dresses, and she even had some "flowy" garments in her collection which is very unlike her. <3

Nicholas Kunz Spring 2011

I am in love with a few pieces from the Nicholas Kunz collection for a more casual style. It is a bit vintage military meets bohemian. Everything's a little oversized and a bit slouchy, but that's what I love about it because it still looks good! P.S. I love the boots! <3

Jason Wu Spring 2011

I am purely in love with Jason Wu's Spring 2011 collection. It was sent down the runway on day two of New York Fashion Week. He really knew how to work the romantic dresses as usual, along with gorgeous to die for sheer blouses. He topped them off with bows and high-waisted pants. H really understands women, style and curves. The show also debuted the official line of Jason Wu's accessories: bags, shoes, sunglasses. What more could a girl want?

birthday shoutout

pants do lie

It's bad when companies lie to you about your sizing, but it's even worse when they actually get found out. It hasn't been only a thing amongst women to boost self-esteem, it's even amongst men's sizes!

Someone took the time to survey some of the top brands for male pants to see if the label represented the actual size, and most didn't.

At the Gap, a 36 inch pant measured to be 39. 36 inch Dockers were 39.5 inches and Old Navy's 36 inch was really 41!!!

Liar liar pants on fire! <3

what shall I wear today

Today I am wearing:
Missoni Grey Boyfriend V-neck
Vintage Toque
Wilfred Navy Harem Pants
Vintage Brown Braided Belt

Marie Claire UK: October

Blake Lively looks absolutely FABULOUS in the Marie Claire UK edition for October. The lighting is fabulous, along with the styling, makeup and bedhead hair. P.S. I can't wait for Gossip Girl to start again! <3
