tomorrow too soon

Tomorrow is February which scares me a bit! This week was so busy for me, hence the lack of blogging. I seriously couldn't get what I wanted to say down on my silly word document for my English assignment and I had to do a million readings. Life just doesn't seem to get easier does it. Thank God I'm not behind on my work! Anyhow, next month is February.. aka tomorrow. Scary eh? I will be so busy working the Olympics while trying to enjoy all my fav DJs coming to town and trying to enjoy the short lived Olympics which we spent waaaay too much money on! At least I get a break from school, but ofcourse I'm left with midterms and papers right when I get back. Yes. My favourite. Anyhow sorry for not attending to you. P.S. the format of my blog is retarded if you haven't noticed and I haven't really touched it because it looks so ugly and I don't know how to fix it! I'm trying!!!! <3

picture of the day: how can you resist this face

How can you not love him?!

having one of those days

Ugh. I'm so tired and in DESPERATE need of a grandesoycaramelmacchiatowithwhip! That would be my Starbucks order in one word. That's how deliriously tired I am. Sad eh?

I'm sitting here at work, did almost all my homework for this coming week and waiting for one of my co-workers to bring me a joyous cup of coffee! I can't believe it's 2 weeks til the Olympics. Oh how time flies. It's kind of exciting but at the same time I hear how horribly congested the city gets and how much Vancouver will be in debt. Joy. Plus I work pretty much everyday and will still have homework to carry on with! Makes me slightly nervous.

But I feel relieved to be on top of my work and being able to go out on weekends. It's marvellous darling. <3

song of the day: I Like That

Probably one of my favourite songs right now by Richard Vission, Static Revenger & Luciana. Amazing. "I wanna disco baby. You wanna kiss now baby?" <3

tallest man made structure

Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper in Dubai and was formerly known as Burj Dubai. It is the tallest man-made structure and is 828 m.

It has Islamic architecture along with a desert flower theme. There are to be 1044 luxury apartments, 49 floors of offices and eventually 160 room Armani branded hotel. Aproximately 12 000 people will be living and working in this tower which is part of a 500 acre development.

So after all those facts, I checked it out and thought it was hideous and tacky. I don't really see too much of a theme and thinks its really loud. Check out the rest of the pics here. <3

featured blog: the heart sticker revolution

I actually came across this on Facebook, but it is the heart sticker revolution. It is meant to stand for love. To unite us and love one another. The blog says:

"on the 13th february 2009, the day before valentine’s day, i attended a ‘fire through the window’ concert and through pure felicity and serendipity, i ended up sticking ♥ stickers on everyone there. over 300.

it was magical. everywhere you looked there were ♥ stickers. everyone was united.

at splashy fen, over 3000 ♥ stickers were given out. and at other concerts all over durban, south africa."

So to continue this revolution, they want to put these hearts everywhere. Kind of like the "where is the love" music video. Everywhere you could possibly think. All you have to do is send your postal address to: theheartstickerrevolution@gmail.com. You will then be maile and envelope with heart stickers and you can start the revolution!

You can also send your heart sticker photos to theheartstickerrevolution@gmail.com and they will be posted on their blog. <3

dress of the day: Jessica McClintock

I love this Jessica McClintock dress. It's supposed to be a prom dress but yeah right I wouldn't wear it to prom. It's so cute. Kind of reminds me of that Betsey Johnson dress I tried on but 1/4 of the price going for $139 here. <3

my fav dress at the Golden Globes

At the Golden Globes on Sunday night, my favourite dress had to be Jennifer Aniston's Valentino dress! She paired it with Versace shoes, a black vintage Ferragamo minaudiere and Fred Leighton jewelry. Plus her hair was sexily messy. My fav. <3

unpredictable boy update

So do you remember Australian guy? From long long ago that I used to blog about? The one who left me for Australia? Well thanks to facebook, I was informed that he is back with his ex which he used to be so frustrated with and all. Maybe cuz he still liked her all along, but I would have never guessed that they would get back together. And I definitely didn't think he was the type of guy to display it on facebook for the world to see.

It's weird. I don't care until they are gone for real, even though I do have a boyfriend. Who knew I'd still have boy drama without being single. It's the fact that they were always there and all of a sudden they're gone! I guess old habits do died hard in this case anyways.

Anyhow, on a different note but on the same subject, the one who has always like me... I think it's 7 years now has been messaging me every Saturday for the past 2 weeks. You wouldn't believe what. He started messaging me again about how he wishes he tried with me and how he regrets he didn't and how he has such horrid timing and all that. Then the next week he was saying all this stuff about how horny he was for me. Oh yeah, keep in mind he has a girltoy at the moment who he said he would never be her boyfriend. Oy. Guys are straight retarded. Hate them but can't live without them! <3

two in one

This weekend I went out two nights in a row. I usually only tend to go out one of the nights and have the other night chill. This time was two of my good friends birthdays though!

Friday night was kicked off by heading to a new club downtown, and running into a fabulous DJ, Vs Zero, also known as Mike Grefner. He's amazing if you're a house music fan. I met him up at Whistler in the summer actually. Anyhow, got his demo and have been listening to it as I study away.

As for Saturday night, I got off work and headed downtown to my friends' 21st birthday. We all gathered in a gorgeous apartment in the heart of downtown and had a couple of drinks and mingled. She is a long time friend and it was a little awkward as I only knew a couple of people since we go to completely different universities and have been mixing in totally different circles. Anyhow, when we hit the club the fun actually began. More people I knew showed up, and once again the music was hitting my soul. It was a fun girls night.

It's nice to be around girls for once, especially since I have more guy friends than girl friends. I swear I only spent $4 that night because everything else was free, which made the night even better! <3

Street Style Memory Game

For only $18, you can get the memory game of street style released this March!<3

chanel goes BIG

Once upon a time, Karl Lagerfeld defended skinny models, and claimed that "no one wants to see round women."

Well that's weird, considering how he photographed a very voluptuous burlesque star by the name of Miss Dirty Martini for V Magazine's "Size Issue" for January.

The theme of the shoot was lingerie, and Lagerfeld held a photoshoot at 31 rue Cambon in Paris pictured with a Coco look alike and Miss Dirty Martini. <3

gift card fraud

Employees new way of stealing is through gift cards! The New York Times reports that gift cards are the trendiest way to shoplift. Cashiers do fake merchandise refunds and electronically divert the amount refunded on gift cards.

There is a worse way where clients buy gift cards and they give them blank cards and divet the money onto cards for themselves. WOW. Just WOW. How desperate! It was probably so easy during the Christmas rush too! <3

happy new year

Wow I can't believe how fast time has led us to 2010. That means no driving with your cell phone, the Olympics coming in 2 months, me being legal everywhere in the world in 3 months as well as HST is coming into effect. Joy.

Looking back at 2009 feels as if it was forever ago when you think about it, but it was just yesterday. I loved the journey that 2009 has led me through and I feel as if I have grown through the year. I got my Business Diploma, started working on my BBA, am in a relationship, lost my drivers license, had a dear friend pass away, met new people, did a million jobs and still stuck to my morals while trying to chase my dreams.

My dreams are a year closer to being achieved and I have the people around me to thank. New Years Eve was a gong show. Friends getting into fights, and I was ever so tired due to the lack of sleep over the last 2 days. Come Monday, I have to go back to school, but I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation and down time with my family and friends who I hardly get to see.

Today I cleaned my room and am trying to come up with New Years resolutions. Which I really hope I will stick to. It will almost be my third year blogging! Wait til the 5th. We'll have a party. Always find something to celebrate.

So if you didn't get to party last night I'll make a toast to you and your dreams coming true this year too! To 2010. <3
