music video of the day: russian roulette

I love this music video. How it's shot, the lighting everything. I'm not a huge fan of the song though but the music video is amazing. You can really get a feel of the emotion. <3

Coca Rocha with her own fashion line

21 year old model from Vancouver is launching her own fashion line. She is calling all blog readers to come up with a name for the line. After 308 comments on the blog, there have been suggestions including Rochoco, Oh So Coco, Tuque, Stepdancers and Coco. Coco really? Trying to steal Chanel's name? Anyhow, I'm sure her line will be as fabulous as she is! <3

back from noir friday

Black Friday was nuts and so is my sleeping pattern! I ended up waking up at a quarter past 4 to look decent and hit the stores. I ended up getting quite a bit including clothing and random accessories but it was super busy and totally worth it. I definitely had a good time, besides the ride where I felt car sick. I got home at midnight and ended up not being able to sleep because I slept in the car. I finally fell asleep at 3am and had to wake up at 7.45am for an interview for the 2010 Olympics and I'm currently at work. Then I have to head back downtown to my promo job! Oy! <3

movie review: The September Issue

While being sick this week I watched The September Issue. A documentary I've wanted to watch ever since it came out. It was delicious and juicy. Shows a sneak peak of producing the September issue of Vogue. Except I bet a whole bunch more goes into it. I wouldn't doubt it at all. It's a must watch. It really inspired me and I really want to get into the industry even more. It really shows how much power Anna Wintour really does have. <3

le masquerade NYE

So for New Years I'm going to this masquerade event which I'm super excited for because it looks like a fabulous venue and it's a MASQUERADE! haha I've always wanted to go to one and I finally am. If you don't know what to do you should definitely come with. I'm making my own mask which is the best part but I needed some inspiration and I found one that's absolutely gorgeous and perfect for me. Lace and glamour. <3

picture of the day: this so resembles ME!

I saw this and saved it right away. It's me right?!

blog of the day: Mommy Saves Big

Going to the States and all and me being a hardcore shopper, I found this amazing blog with printable coupons! So before you make your way to the states, make sure you check out this site to save yourself some money! You can tell, I'm in the shopping mood. <3

happy thanksgiving to all you americans!

Thanksgiving is today for all the Americans, which means one thing. Tomorrow is BLACK FRIDAY! The day which is way better than our Boxing Day! I've strategically mapped out where to go and when, when the clock strikes midnight tonight. After work I'm heading down and going to have a shopping day! I'm a little scared to be honest, but I have a plan. A good shopper always goes in with a plan! And I'm determined to find my NYE dress down there. P.S. If you've wondered where I've been, I've been extremely sick. Yesterday was my first day out ever since last Friday. Lots of fun and it definitely was not my finest hour. <3

sneak peak at the Victoria Secret Fashion show

So Heidi Klum wasn't supposed to be in the VS show this year, but the super super model mad an appearance on last night's annual VS Fashion Show. She looked incredible just 6 weeks after giving birth to her 4th child. That's absolutely insane! And that's exactly why I called her a super super model.

The show won't officially air till Dec 1, so sit tight I don't want to give too much away but I'm tres excited. There were 5 different sections each with 12 different outfits. Also, The Black Eyed Peas performed in the show. Check out the amazing pictures. I made sure to add TONS.<3

music video of the day: Video Phone

Not song of the day, music video of the day. It's with Miss Beyonce & Lady Gaga.

I absolutely love this video. It's so well done. Sexy, simple and chic. Beyonce's clearly the better dancer, but it's very well executed. The song is alright. Maybe I'll love it down the road. <3

dress of the day

I could never wear this dress, but Jessica Stam looks absolutely amazing in it! Her entire outfit. I definitely approve. The wonderful creation is done by Gareth Pugh. <3

breaking news of the day

The CEO of the Oprah Winfrey Network said he expects her to retire her TV show in 2011, but a spokeswoman said it's not set in stone. The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is a 50-50 multi-platform venture between Harpo Productions & Discover Communications which will launch next year.

The expectation is that after [the 2010-11 season] her show will go off of … syndication, and she will come to OWN,” David Zaslav, Discovery’s president and CEO said. “We’re talking now about what that presence would be and what programming she would be involved in directly. But this is her Chapter Two, and building the OWN brand online and on-air is something that she and I, we’re working [on] together and it’s a core mission for her.”

Oprah's contract for The Oprah Winfrew Show does expire in 2011 which is also her 25th season on national TV. Apparently she has not made a final decision if she will continue beyond the 25 year mark, but ratings have been going down. Is it goodbye to Oprah? <3

perhaps the ultimate mag of all times?

Chanel decided to produce a magazine by the name of 31 Rue Cambon. Olivier Zahm put this preview up and it looks gorgeous. He happened to work on the issue with Karl Lagerfeld, and the magazine will be distrubuted worldwide in all Chanel stores. I like how it matches my blog. <3

can't put a price to a picture

Check out the Hermès camera. Hermès and Leica teamed up together to create perhaps THE camera. Well it better be that good because they are available starting in December for a lovely price of $14, 000. But I guess you can't ever capture those precious moments again. Right? They have created the Leica M7 Edition Hermès camera in orange or green "Veau Swift" leather. Imagine that. <3

a little bit of silver

Check out this innovative sterling silver necklace by Nathan Thomas. It is a replication of the iPod earbuds except extremely delicate. You can find it at Oye Modern for $419. And no, you can't use them as actual earphones ladies and gents, but they are better than plastic! <3

something for new years?

Cutecircuit, London-based designeres created this light up dress. It's covered of over 24, 000 multi-coloured LEDs. The batteries are hidden through the layers of chiffon. So perhaps you want this dress for New Years. haha. It provides a luminous glow from 30 minutes to an hour. Be the talk of the town. <3

the little harajuku girls are changing clothes again!

Gwen Stefani is constantly changing the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances clothing to match the season and I absolutely love it! I think it's such a catch idea. The new designs are available February 2010. Love it! <3

Jimmy Choo x H&M TODAY

Don't know if you remember but today was the Jimmy Choo collabo with H&M!! In New York the store was opened to only a select group of editors last night to be the first to show the collection. Most heels were $99 and up and accessories, belts and wallet were all a little cheaper.

Apparently the first floor was crowded with Jimmy Choo fanatics juggling shoe boxes, glasses of wine and deliciously catered food while the rest of the store was quiet! For those who missed out on the rest of H&M, apparently everything was 25% off... secretly. Well I definitely missed out because of work. Lame. <3

black lipstick, would you wear it?

I remember when I was little, my sister and I would put on black lipstick and take pictures like we were goths. Cool huh?

Well, to my belief, it's all back. All the rock and roll boldness has come around once again. Including bold lips such as deep red, violet and black? It has been hitting the runway, and I think it's amazing for those who can pull off such a dramatic rocker chic look. As for me, it won't be staining my lips anytime soon. <3

hope you're not superstitious!

I'm not superstitious but today is Friday the 13th. For those of you who are I wish you well. <3

bad romance part II

I'm not sure what all these part two's are about BUT here is Lady Gaga's sneak preview performance in Gossip Girl. She is singing bad romance.

To be honest I think that Lady Gaga looks a bit like a drag queen in here. Shh! <3

good girls gone bad part II

As I mentioned earlier this week, Leighton Meester was in the Good Girls Gone Bad music video. Well now she's appearing in the most recent issue of GQ. Legs spread and all in sexy lingerie. I think she looks amazing though, but at the same time a little too much. I think she looks sexy covered up. Something different from the average Megan Fox. No need to bare all to be sexy ladies! <3

picture of the day: if i was little i'd be in love with this boy

I'm so in love with this little boy!!! If I was young I would so crush on this guy! He's like a little nerd! And his outfit is so rad! <3

song of the day: Bad Romance

Lady Gaga's sick video of Bad Romance is filled with luxury. I absolutely love it! Plus she's rocking so many new Fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2010. Ahh the glamourous life. <3

le lego watch

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac has created a lego watch for our child hood memories. It's simple and super cool. For all you streetwear people, it's completely rad. <3

the Chanel sofa

Chanel this, Chanel that. Love it no matter what, but check out this sofa for sale at the A/D One store in Palm Springs. It's on sale for $8,500. It's kind of a cool social thing to be honest. I kinda like it! <3

the insides of Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty is super kawaii right down to her heart. Right? Well Dr. Romanelli and Sanrio have created this medical figurine showing her insides. Perhaps to teach kids? Who knows. <3

the good girl gone bad

So today my manager pointed out that Leighton Meester is in that music video Good Girls Gone Bad by Cobra Starship. She even sings in it! That's so weird. Doesn't even sound like her. Probably cuz it's not. But it's weird to see her in a music video! Check it out. <3

it's that time again

It's the time to get into that Christmas mood or at least start to. I tend to get in the mood around December 1st, but ever since the cold air hit and the eggnog lattes came out at Starbucks, it has been beginning to feel like Christmas is quickly coming. Just like October slipped right from underneath us!

You know what this means! It's time to have those Christmas parties and keep in mind New Years! What I'm really trying to get at here is, I'm trying to find that perfect dress for New Years already! Being a promoter you have to look good, and I need a good looking, affordable dress that will last me that one night. Unfortunately, I can't find something that fits my requirements. Something sexy, chic, sparkly and glamorous. Oh did I forget to mention, something that no one else will be seen in? Ugh.. I guess I'll just keep looking. <3

baby it's cold outside

I don't know about you, but I'm really starting to feel the ice cold weather! Well, Old Navy is having 50% off their outwear right now! I used to wear Old Navy when I was a wee little one but they've gone ever so down hill. I really like this jacket though! Originally it was $70, and now its $35. Splendid! This deal ends Nov 12th! <3>

for the hungry recessionista

Spread some jam over your shoes if you wish, I guess with the economic times anything really counts. Look at this baguette bread shoes! The Twin brothers & designers R&E Praspaliauskas have created a bread collection of shoes in various sizes and doughs. Yuck. Feet and food.... <3

VFW madness has officially ended

Last night was the closing gala of Vancouver Fashion Week and boy has it been fun. There were tons of amazing shows and great people out but I'm a little relieved that its over. That means a little more time to sleep!

Last night was a wreck though. The closing gala was supposed to take place at one club. BUT, they had a black out so we had to go to another venue which was nicer anyways but it was a disaster. Girls were crying because of all the planning that went into it and all that. But yay it's over! Time to get back to normal living.<3

Victoria Beckham always looks amazing

VB and her family went to a basketball game with a cute relaxed hair style. It was wavy and tousled rather than her perfectly straight hair that everyone has been used to. Gorgeous as always Ms. Beckham. <3

song of the day: Radio (WTF)

Pharrell and crew were on 90210 on Tuesday! My lover! <3

blogging at work

Sitting here at work with everything completed so why not blog!?

Last night I did Vancouver Fashion Week once again, taking pictures for our live feed. Anyhow, I was asked to model again for this boutique advertisement thing. I'm so skeptical on modeling though just because I did it and it just didn't pan out and I just don't feel like I'm fit for it anymore! So we'll see, but whatever.

Last night was an adventure and tons of fun. I absolutely love being immersed in the industry. It was so busy last night and ever so packed. The only thing I hate is that everyone thinks their VIP and are some big shot, so their egos are huge. I networked and made lots of new contacts so yay for that! I'm not going tonight just because I'm working! <3

day 1 of VFW

Last night was the Opening Gala of Vancouver Fashion Week, and boy was it busy. It was the utmost disaster. I was working front of house dealing with guest list and it was ever so disorganized that even I was embarassed! Anyhow, we finally got to mingle and I saw a bunch of people that I recognized.

Later that night, I got poked in the back from a photographer and a designer for Killah and the guy representing Steve Aoki's line Dimmak. I got chatting to them and they wanted me to model for them this Sunday. I'm still not sure but we shall see.

Tonight was super hectic. It was our first fashion show night where models actually hit the runway. Lots of fun and lots of cute things but with that comes lots of work and craziness! <3
