beauty obsession: The Body Shop Primer

I have tried several primers, and if you don't use primer for your face before putting any make up on I would highly suggest it. I originally used Bare Escentuals' Prime Time primer at $21, then tried out the NARS Primer at $33. I wasn't 100% happy with it because it left my face feeling a bit sticky and found that my make up still didn't hold as much as I wanted to.

I have found my secret weapon and I am obsessed with it! This is The Body Shop's Skin Primer Matte It. My skin was not oily all day and I did not have to retouch my make up all day! I don't usually make too many recommendations in terms of products unless I am obsessed with them and this one is for sure an amazing product. Plus it is only $14 compared to the other two primers I have tried. ♥

Marc Jacobs Spring 2011

I'm loving the sunset colours of Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 campaign. The campaign seems to be focusing on satin and big brimmed hats. Go big or go home I guess. ♥

The Royal Wedding

First and foremost, congratulations Wills and Kate on your wedding day!! Can you believe that even Karl Lagerfeld approved of Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen gown!? He said it was a "gown of very refined detail, much more refined than the one Diana wore". He continued, " Alexander McQueen's dresses are always elegant. It's very pretty and relatively classic, but that goes with the decor, with a little touch of the 1950s that recalls Marilyn Monroe or Queen Elizabeth II's dress. The lace is pretty, especially the embroidered veil and the tiara is not too high, without too heavy a bun. It's ravishing and the length of the train is perfect".

Well now we know that Mr. Lagerfeld has approved we can all rest easy. Of course I have to mention Victoria and David Beckham were looking quite good themselves. Victoria looked very elegant in her navy dress and her Philip Treacy head piece. Definitely rocked the pregnant look well. ♥

rose tinted time

I love this Michael Kors Large Rose Gold Chronograph Watch. Definitely has prestige and stands out like no other watch. I also like how it's not your usual gold or silver. Rather a rose gold. Sort of a sweet colour if you ask me. And it doesn't hurt that this baby pink tint is such a huge colour for this spring! ♥

Classic Coach

There was once upon a time when Coach didn't have their logos all over their bags. Well Coach is taking you back to the 1970s and reissuing five of their classic handbags designed by Bonnie Cashin. Their classic collection will only be on Net-A-Porter, ranging from $298 to $398. ♥

born this way with Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga's HBO special airs on May 7. And here is a little preview that is released. In includes Lady Gaga talking about how she got to where she is all while sipping her coffee in her underwear, leather jacket and Chanel sunnies. ♥

America's Next Billionaires

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have landed the Newsweek cover to promote The Row. The magazine talks about their success of the fashion business. The Row is estimated $10 to $12 million in sales. ♥

Karl Lagerfeld wants you to smell like books

Karl Lagerfeld owns over 300 000 books and owns a bookstore and publishing house in Paris called 7L. There are even plans to open one in New York. Since he has a history in the book business, he is teaming up with Steidl to create Paper Passion, which will be a perfume which smells like books. ♥

Dior sunnies

Christian Dior sunnies are coming out and are cute as ever!! It is part of the Les Marquises collection and are brightly coloured. Each pair is $295 at Dior boutiques. So stylish for this summer! My favourites are the Dior Mohotani. Cat eye and vintage. Wouldn't have it any other way. ♥

bye bye fake designer merchandise

Canal Street in New York is known for their fake designer merchandise. But this will soon come to an end as there is a new bill which will punish those who purchase the knockoffs. If caught purchasing, the shopper will face $1000 fine or a year in jail. ♥

Blake Lively at 100 Gala

First of all, Blake Lively showed off her new red hair at the Time 100 Gala in her Zuhair Murad Couture dress. I don't think it really complemented her, rather making her look like Ariel from The Little Mermaid.

Second of all, Patrick McMullan, a photographer stepped on her gown and pulled off the entire train!! Of course Blake Lively ran to the bathroom and pinned it back on. But what a night. ♥

Gucci loves you

Gucci launched a limited edition bracelet on April 23 to help Japan. These bracelets are simple and non-allergenic white calf leather. I think they are pretty cute. The bracelets are on sale at Gucci stores in Japan, Europe, US and Asia. They are selling for $100 each with proceeds going towards the Japanese Red Cross Society. ♥

wine & dine

Vintage blazer. H&M crochet dress. Wilfred silk shorts. Vintage shoes.

This weekend was a wild one. Exams were completed for the semester and it was a long weekend. What else would be better than to get together with good company and catch up with some old friends.

Went to the new Hapa Umi which I wasn't very fond of. Well the food was delicious, but the prices weren't so yummy, and the service wasn't marvelous either compared to the usual Hapa Izakaya. But regardless was in good company. Went out all three nights and had a blast. Hope your Easter weekend was equally as fun! ♥

Anja Rubik x Quazi

Anja Rubik teams up with Quazi, a Polish accessories label. I love her easy look in lingerie, and casual pieces of clothes. This girl is such a natural beauty. She reminds me of a younger Sienna Miller with a more edgy look. ♥

RIP Bijan Pakzad

The fashion designer Bijan Pakzad has passed away at the age of 71. He was known to have "the most expensive store in the world" and his boutique was by-appointment-only. ♥

featured model: Liu Yifei

Liu Yifei is featured in Harper's Bazaar May issue and she looks gorgeous. She has quite a different and distinctive look from other Asian models, and she is definitely a beauty! ♥

Khloe Kardashians shoe mania

I think I need a shoe closet like this. Elle magazine went into Khloe Kardashians place and this by far is the best part!

“I love all of my shoes! It is a must to have them color coordinated, and to be able to see each and every one of them. I know exactly where each one lives and I can tell if one has even been moved! It definitely helps to put one shoe facing front, and the other to the back. It saves space, but it is also nice to be able to see the back-side of the shoe. I am an organization freak!”

John Galliano fired

The board of Christian Dior SA, which owns the Galliano Brand has voted Galliano out of the house of Dior. I guess Dior couldn't handle John Galliano's racist scandal anymore. The brand will still live on and there have been some inquiries from China and the Middle-East. ♥

Terry Richardson x Kate Moss

Kate Moss does her best impression of Terry Richardson, and vice versa on Terry Richardson's blog. She's looking like a babe. ♥

Spring 2011 with Twenty8Twelve

Sienna Miller is in her own label's Spring/Summer 2011 lookbook beside another model but she definitely looks and suits the clothes like not other. Her and her sister's line Twenty8Twelve is so cute, flirty and feminine. These are some of my favourite Spring pieces. ♥

dress du jour: Marchesa Spring 2012 Bridal Dress

This newly unveiled Marchesa Spring 2012 Bridal Dress is splendidly amazing. I don't think I would particularly like it as a wedding dress, but for bridesmaids perhaps! It's so girly and I'm digging the lace. ♥

Daisy Lowe for Peacocks

Remember how a few months ago I mentioned about Daisy Lowe's collab with her mother's line Peacocks? Well her swimsuit collection hits stores in May with four pieces. Ofcourse Daisy Lowe is rocking her curves well in her designs. It's a very pin up collection. She states,"I've sought inspiration from the things I love: family holidays in Europe; iconic fifties pin-ups and classic vintage shapes. The swimsuits will be available in sizes 8-16, and in cup sizes 32B-36DD. I guess I don't fit into that category! ♥

Alexander McQueen talks through Gaga

In Harper Bazaar's May issue released on April 26th, Lady Gaga is the cover girl. Who would be bored of seeing this lady in amazing photo shoots. Each one is different. Especially when it's photographed by no other than Terry Richardson.

Aside from this fact, Gaga thinks that Alexander McQueen has been working through her ever since his death. She admits, "I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote Born This Way, ultimately to the exact day of the one-year anniversary of McQueen's death. When I hear that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn't even write the fu**king song. He did!"

Crazily true? or Truly crazy? ♥

Dakota Fanning for Marc Jacobs

Dakota Fanning is perhaps the new face of Marc Jacob's Oh Lola fragrance. The first time Fanning appeared in a Marc Jacobs campaign was back in 2007 when she was 13. ♥
