The CFDA has so elegantly collaborated with eBay to create a collection of canvas tote bags stating "you can't fake fashion". They sold out within minutes! These totes were created by CFDA designers. Canal Street in New York is known for their fake designer merchandise. But this will soon come to an end as there is a new bill which will punish those who purchase the knockoffs. If caught purchasing, the shopper will face $1000 fine or a year in jail. ♥

new approach to fashion mags

Hungary is giving up hope for the "normal" looking magazine and changing their magazine LACK into a faux handbag. The idea behind it was the designer wanted to create a convenient way to hold the magazines. Hm, wonder if they'll bring this over here? ♥

I popped into Urban Outfitters today and saw this over sized bag that's super cute for school. It came in gray (the one seen above), mustard yellow and a tan colour. It's $68. ♥

I have been so obsessed in finding the perfect double buckle satchel. I love this Marc by Marc Jacobs black leather bag for $480. It is known as The Sophie. You can get it at Net-A-Porter. Also, it comes with a longer strap for you to wear! <3

The 2.55

Sitting on the beach reading Elle Canada, the September issue, I came across this article called Quilted Secrets. It is the inside scoop on Chanel's 2.55 iconic bag. It lists all the features in it and basically explains the truth behind the bag and why it's priced the way it is at $4080:

• The bottom is quilted but flat so the bag sits properly
• There is a transparent sticker with an ID number hidden in every bag which is identical to the number on the credit card. This acts as proof of authenticity.
  
• There are 7 pockets which include and inner one which Chanel intended for love letters.
  
• Its name 2.55 refers to the date it was released. February, 1955.
  
• It takes up to 15 people to complete the 180 steps in making the bag.
  
• The gentle curve of the outer back pocket was inspired by Mona Lisa which was Chanel's favourite painting.
  
• The puffy jackets worn by Chanel's boyfriend's horse breeders inspired the signature quilting

I don't know about you, but I always have the hardest time trying to put my shoes in my luggage without squishing them! And of course, how do you decide to only pick a couple of shoes when travelling?

I'm really liking the Chloe Fall 2010 bags. They are so simple compared to the usual bright and detailed bags. These are so simple and in my mind, more classy. <3

So Jimmy Choo and H&M designs have been leaked. Alot of people are loving them but as for me. They're alright. Not really my style. I'm slightly disappointed, but that saves waiting in line and waking up early on November 14th! <3

Just a girl's dream!! It's the Perrin Paris 1893 Martha Clutch which literally can hold everything. It's a 12x6 inch leather zip wallet type clutch. It can hold your cellphone, camera, pen, cards, ipod and all your little things you need! Someone even said they managed to put in their small notebook and lipgloss! <3

eco chic fashion project bag

Target is really blowing up as from Labour Day till October, they will be featuring art on Times Square billboards. The giant graphics include Michael Anderson, Laurie Rosenwald, Charles Wilkin and Josh Goldstein. But not only that. When the art exhibit is over, the vinyl from the boards will create limited edition upcycled bags using Anna Sui's tote bags design. There will be about 1600 of these alone.

The bags are 90% recycled bulletin vinyl with black studs. Very rockeresque. They only cost $29.99 at target.com/billboardbag starting September 4th. The consumers can even pick which artist's work they want on their bag! The will be shipped out in January! I love the idea! <3

That's the first thing I said to myself when I heard Jimmy Choo will be creating affordable shoes and bags for H&M. They will hit 250 stores November 14! And I'm hoping that my H&M store will be hit. If not.. I will hunt it down! <3

when is thin too thin?

Curvy is in now. The world isn't going thin anymore. People are accepting real beauty. For me though, I just feel that I could never get myself fat or to a certain point of thickness but I'm not mode thin either. When I saw this picture for Matt & Nat bags I was so taken a back. Does anyone think this picture is even good looking?! This girl is grey. And I know that it's lighting and all, but she seems very sickly. Dead almost. I have to give this a YUCK. <3
