trend watch: clogs

I remember having clogs as a young girl. Today, my love for clogs have grown once again and I bought a pair which I thought I would love but ended up returning them because I ended up not liking them at all!

With the season continuing, clogs have been reinvented, and I definitely think that the Sweds make it best. Not only that they have so much style. Paired with a cute pair of ankle high socks they are definitely a good basic summer slip on. A little bit of height never hurt anyone either. Man repeller? Maybe so, but I love the little Swedish clogs. Check these ones out!

When I first saw this collection the Marilyn Monroe quote came to mind:

"I don't mind living in a man's world as long as I can be a woman in it."

I love the amount of layers piled on with the use of various textures, mixed in with trousers, feminine lines and the playful use of colour. Plus its slightly geek chic. Putting an outfit together like this is pure style. ♥

the return of the wide-leg pant

Ever since I heard this trend coming back, I wasn't such a big fan. Does that mean all those skinny jeans have to leave your closet? Yeah right. I think I'll stick to my skinnies in jeans that is. I love the look of the wide-leg pant, but not so much in denim. I think it will just be another trend. My preference may change as the season goes on, but we'll see. ♥
