house of BUN
My dear friend Carola has come out with a fabulous jewelry line called BUN, and boy is it a thing of beauty. It was just recently launched, and her first line was called the "Tutu Collection", which included 12 necklaces. All her necklaces are handmade and created from Canadian glass pearls along with semi-precious gems and Austrian Swarovski crystals. How could you go wrong?! They are so refined and will top any outfit. My favourites are Berlioz, Duchess and Coco. I love the detail of the scissors charm. For more info visit BUN's facebook page! <3
retro glam
Jessica Miller is photographed by Carter Smith and styled by Evyan Metzner in Vogue UK March 2003. I absolutely love the retro style and the romantic look of the photoshoot. Although it's a gorgeous photoshoot, do you notice how she's ALWAYS looking down or sideways. It's only three out of the twelve pictures she's looking at the camera. Just a side note! <3
did Carine Roitfeld really quit French Vogue?
As I reported, Carine Roitfeld left French Vogue. But is this true? Or did she really get fired.. aka "mise à pied"? Several sources have suggested that Conde Nast was not impressed with the bad press from the editor-in-chief, including the following:
- Earlier this year, she was blacklisted from Balenciaga. Apparently she helped Max Mara knock off their designs.
- LVMH's Bernard Arnault was also not pleased with the latest Vogue Paris issue. There were not enough LVMH credits, and he did not think that featuring young girls in the editorial was very tasteful. He even threatened to pull their ads out of the next issue.
- Also, the employees of French Vogue said that they received an email on the Friday stating the Roitfield was "mise à pied", really meaning, she was fired.
wine and dine with Cavalli
Roberto Cavalli has plans to open five Cavalli Clubs and 15 Cavalli Cafes in the next five years. He has teamed up with Pragma Group to make sure this happens. He wants to "further expand the network of clubs for entertaining [his] followers in some of the most important cities in the world." These cities include Beirut; Istanbul; Mumbai, India; Shanghai, and São Paulo. <3>
that frilly ol thing
I love love love Mary-Kate's umbrella! Who cares if she was taking a smoke break outside a studio in Culver City, or her fabulous black fur-trim coat jacket. I love the frilly, fab umbrella! P.S. I think her outfit would have been better with a skinny pant instead. <3
quote of the day: Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers was featured in New York Magazine and I found an amazing quote on New York style vs. LA style. Pretty funny, I love it:
"I think New York women have such style, and it’s not about money, it’s just the look and the pace and the activity. And in L.A., they’re very beautiful and they all look exactly alike, which is good because if we go to war they’re all in uniform. They’ve got the same bag, the same jeans, they’re exactly alike. New York women, they look like they’re going to an art opening. They look smart. "
Hello Kitty gets make-up
When I heard about this I was ever so excited!! Sephora is launching an exclusive beauty collection of Hello Kitty products! This ranges from blotting papers, lip gloss, perfume, and way more. No official date has been set on when these beauty products will be released, but the price ranges from $5 for nail art and $55 for the perfume. <3
Kate Moss' modelling school?
Kate Moss has some major plans when she retires. She revealed to Company magazine, “I think I could definitely open up a modeling school. It honestly can be very humiliating. It's not just like, 'Hold your left leg in your hand.''
Hmm... that should be an interesting one. You can just imagine the number of photos there will be on the wall. Kate Moss Hall of Fame. <3

Vogue China and Jessica Stam make magic for their January issue. Photographed by Ellen von Unwerth and styled by Anne Christensen, this retro feel is amazing especially when Stam is in clothes like Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs and Gucci! <3
in Pharrell's bachelor pad
Photographed by Todd Selby, Pharrell Williams' Miami apartment looks hot and fun. I love the contemporary style mixed in with the fun decorative pieces he adds. If you didn't notice, he clearly loves Family Guy. Here are some featured pictures. <3
au revoir to Ms. Roitfeld
Wow oh wow. I never thought this would happen! Carine Roitfeld, editor-in-chief at French Vogue announced on December 17th that she was leaving the magazine. She says, "It’s ten years that I’m editor of the magazine, I think it’s time to do something different.” She also mentions, “My best quality is to be stylist. I never think about this career, this big job. I never wanted to be what I am today, and I will not die in the position." Well congrats Ms. Roitfeld and good luck with your future career. <3
