CFDA Awards: Best Dresses & Winners

If you didn't know, yesterday everyone was focused on the Canucks vs Boston game while I was focusing on the CFDA Awards!! You can't attend the CFDA Awards without looking amazing!! Below are my favourites.


I always give kudos to the woman that pulls off the perfectly tailored suit. It's so risky, especially when the world expects you to wear a dress. Kirsten Dunst definitely pulls this one off in a Patrik Ervell tux and shirt. It is perfectly tailored. I've seen some people try to pull off this look, but fail. Kirsten Dunst stands out in the perfect way, topping it off with Prada stilettos and Bulgari jewelry.

Lady Gaga is still killing it. She made an entrance in McQueen of course. Now this dress takes the little black dress to the next level. Look at the detailing on it. I would kill to be in that dress. The dress is sexy, elegant, and kills all at the same time. I'm in love. Unfortunately she had a wardrobe malfunction and her chest popped out. Luckily Lady Gaga pulls off anything.

Gaga for Philip Treacy

After all her success, she still strives for more! Lady Gaga is starting at the bottom going for an internship with Philip Treacy who is known for the best avant-garde toppers aka head pieces. She sent in her cover letter and resume and they want to see her skills before she is accepted for the internship! In hat making that is! I'm sure she'll get it no matter what. <3

the fifth day in LA

Today we headed out to Fashion District in LA. It is where they sell all the wholesale clothing and all. Also, there is this Alley called Santee Alley. It's in the heart of the Fashion District and it's more or less like a market type place where you bargain and there are fake things and just random things to buy. It was quite fun! I ended up getting this super cute light grey bag for $20. And the leather is so soft. It was so hot out today and I was wearing a one shouldered shirt and I ended up getting a one shoulder tan. GREAT. haha


Later on, we went to Santa Monica Beach. I thought it would still be hot but it was actually freaking cold! The clouds came over and the wind started blowing by the ocean water. Santa Monica is the beach with the fair right on the dock. It's where Spencer asked Heidi to marry him in the Hills episode 8 I believe?! haha Two weeks ago?! Yeah that's the one. I sucked it up and we took lots of pictures. It was lots of fun. We later stopped off at a mall and I got a hot pair of skinny jeans at Nordstrom! Ahh.. the time is going by so fast. Tomorrow is the boyfey's birthday.. my bad for missing it! Oh well he'll be to drunk to even remember! But I only say that to make myself feel better for missing it! <3

favourite face products

Nice skin has always been in! I have just found my official favourite cleanser. It's the Biore warming anti-blackhead cream cleanser. I use it once at night and it has micro beads to scrub your face, while warming up your face creating such a soothing feeling. It makes skin feel super clean and nice. It does dry out the face so I suggest to use my my favourite moisturizer Impruv. It's a moisture intensive cream so make sure you use it only at night so your face does not look all oily and nasty in the day! Try it out. I have sensitive skin so these products should be good for you if you have sensitive skin as well. It's really important to take care of your
skin! <3

candy coated: NERDS

Besides Pharrell being in N.E.R.D. and me not being able to have them, I have found something just as yummy! Well I knew this all along, but I've decided to share with you today. I used to eat them in high school all the time, but until now I forgot how good they are!! they are described as tiny, tangy, crunch candy. Yum yum. Wonka always makes such amazing candy. I picked up 2 giant packages when I was in the States because they were $1 each. That's a steal. DEEEEELISH! <3

This is one of my favourite movies but I forgot how much I actually like it. It's such a classic and super old, 1987 in fact. If you haven't watched it, you honestly have to get on it. It's not like an Audrey Hepburn movie or anything but it's like a Footloose, except 50 times better!!!! <3

It kind of reminds me of my other favourite, Miles Aldridge. It's so hard to make it big as a fashion photographer but his pictures are AMAZING! Tres bien. Here are SOME of his marvellous images. <3

These shots were taken a while ago but I had to feature them. They are fafinettes which have come to life! you know my favourite artist. This was featured in Vogue Nippon. Some people find it creepy but I love it. <3

I've been looking for this song everywhere and I finally found it. My dj friend mixes a sick house version of it and ofcourse I can't find it but here it is. It's sooo chill and sexy! I love it. <3

Please do not tell me you do not know who DVF is. If you don't you are clearly not in the know. If you don't know I'll teach you a 2 minute lesson. She is a legendary fashion designer known for her wrap dress. She has started a number of successful business' including a cosmetics line, a home-shopping business, and has been exploding in the fashion world. She is iconic, and if I ever met her I would not know what to do. Her most current webpage is a blog. It just launched on November 13th, and is fun-filled with updates on fashion news, new items, horoscopes, cultural advice, personal photos and posts from the one and only Diane von Furstenberg. <3

Supermodel Siri Tollerød is one of my favourites. She is a Norwegian model born August 18, 1987. She has been seen in in many magazine ads and editorials and she has walked the runway for big names like Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, DKNY and more. This girl will grow and she is so versatile. BE WARNED. <3

I came across Lillian Bassman's wonderful photography/art and immediately fell in love. She's a legendary fashion photographer and art director in the early 90s.

sticking to the theme of MK & A

So I guess I've become intrigued by Mary-Kate & Ashley. I'm am in love love LOVE with their 2 clothing lines. One of them is Elizabeth and James, named after their other siblings and the other line is named The Row. I love both.

This song is by Kaskade and Canada's own Deadmau5. He was in Vancouver not too long ago!! I love this song! It's amazing to drive to late at night coming back from the club. <3
