All last summer Barneys New York collected denim and teamed up with eBay to create Project Blue, and eco-chic auction. The store gave recycled denim to selected designers to create masterpiece and one of a kind fashions to auction off. Designers included Alexander Wang, Ann Demeulemeester, Rodarte, Bottega Veneta, Stella McCartney, Versace and Derek Lam. The bid starts at 99 cents! Proceeds will go to Ocean, an international nonprofit focusing on ocean conservation. <3

life is a roller coaster...

Just when the recession starts to end, the swine flu comes about! Grr! I can't believe the number of deaths occuring and how people are not wanting to travel because of this. And this is also lowering consumption which is BAD for the economy. Ugh. The world is so whack right now. What the eff is going on right now?! Even I'm contemplating my travels to LA. Sad. Very sad. tired of being a recessionista

Henri Bendel. The loved brown and white striped high end department. Sigh. The 5th Ave will stop selling clothes to focus on accessories and beauty product.. exclusively. Is this a good idea? After all, they are known for their selected and wonderful accessories. Besides this, they are opening 6 accessories-only stores this summer. This includes Bendel brand gifts. This may seem like a more focused market strategy, but is it really? I'm thinking it's due to the recession, and I hate how the world has to make such large changes to accomodate the recession. <3

V Magazine x Ford Models

All you wannabe models, strike a pose! V Magazine (one of my favourite magazines) and Ford Models have joined up to find the latest face of fashion and it could be plain jane YOU! It's called the V A Model contest. They are asking prospective models to submit photos online from now till June. If you are the selected model, this entails a Ford Models contract. I simply love Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) from Gossip Girl. But apparently she just signed a deal with Universal Republic Records. That means she will be singing? I don't know, I've never heard her sing!? But I guess we will just have to wait and see! <3

Christian Siriano from Project Runway is releasing a line of shoes at Payless for Fall 2009. All of his shoes will be under $45 and a few celebs have already gotten a hold of a pair! Seems like Payless is in the market for style too? I do not have a problem with that at all!! I'm so digging these rocker chic shoes!<3

favourite face products

Nice skin has always been in! I have just found my official favourite cleanser. It's the Biore warming anti-blackhead cream cleanser. I use it once at night and it has micro beads to scrub your face, while warming up your face creating such a soothing feeling. It makes skin feel super clean and nice. It does dry out the face so I suggest to use my my favourite moisturizer Impruv. It's a moisture intensive cream so make sure you use it only at night so your face does not look all oily and nasty in the day! Try it out. I have sensitive skin so these products should be good for you if you have sensitive skin as well. It's really important to take care of your

Sunday night was Miss USA with Miss North Carolina winning. But that is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about Miss California. She was in the top 5 and was asked an interesting question by Perez Hilton which has now created lots of controversy. Exactly a year from today the Olympics will commence. Everyone has different opinions on the Olympics and it couldn't come at a worst time. This recession and the Olympics will put a lot of our nation in debt. GREAT. Like we need that right now...<3

Can you believe the latest celebrity gossip?! Not a big fan, but I mean I like Chris Brown and Rihanna. Well as for Chris Brown, I respect his music but not so much of what he did. You've probably heard, but if you haven't let me update you and give you a little bit of an insight. As you know the Grammy's happenend over the weekend. Well Rihanna and CB were in a car and they got into a huge fight. CB ended up hitting Rihanna and then freaked out taking the keys and leaving her in the car. Someone had called the police as they had heard the screaming. They are thinking that CB was under the influence of some sort, but he came from an abusive background which makes me so angry because you would think that he would break that whole cycle. Anyhow, people were not exactly sure if it was her in the hospital, but the hospital confirmed Rihanna had huge scratches on her face and bruises. What an asshole. The kid's only 19 and needs help. WOW. All his Wrigley's gum commercials are pulled off the air. He's officially created a bad image for himself which will follow him. <3

Most Expensive Shirt in the WORLD!

Eton of Sweden opened their first posh US store at the Plaza Hotel. It was also Eton's 80th anniversary. One of their features included the most expensive shirt. Why was in so expensive? First off, the packaging. It was in a hand-carved black oak box. Basically it is a traditional dress shirt, but it is made of the finest Egyption cotton and it has natural colored diamonds set in black enamel borders. You'll never guess how much this shirt costs! Try $40,000!!!! The shirt will be autioned off by Harrods in the spring with proceeds going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Crazy? I think so. <3

party time now work it

Wow.. it's about time we got a high end club. Yep, Vancouver is in desperate need of it and who else may be working there? Yep... yours truly! I may be promoting for this club. It sounds so sick. It's opening date is February 28th. It's not known as a club but more of a super lounge. It will be on the 20th floor of the Renaissance Hotel with a 360 degree view of the city. It is called Vistas Lounge and will have a zen type them to it. There will be 15-42" flat screens, couches and an intimate VIP area. They are guaranteeing the "sexist, craziest, wildest ultra-lounge in Vancouver". Sounds pretty effing good to me! I'm not 100% sure if I'm doing it but I'll let you know and make you all come out for a wild night. Here is the view. <3
