How I adore Anna Wintour

Guess what! Since Fashion's Night Out was a huge success, Anna Wintour has extended it to a six-night global shopping affair!!!! This means, Fashion's Night Out will reach 16 countries and 15 foreign editions of Vogue will be involved. It will start on September 7th in France, move to England and Korea on the 8th, Australia, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain on the 9th, Inda, Russa and the States on the 10th, China, Japan and Taiwan on the 11th, and finally Greece and Turkey on the 16th. Ahem.. this is WHY I should be in New York! Doesn't even reach Canada! I guess I will be at home watching the CBS Special on Fashion's Night Out on september 15th at 8pm. How exciting! <3

leave it to kanye

I don't know if you've heard, but a couple nights ago was the VMA awards. Taylor Swift ended up winning Best Female Video category for "You Belong With Me" which ended up beating Beyonce's Single Ladies video. Taylor Swift accepted the Moonman award.

She went, "Thank you so much! I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these some day but I never actually thought it would have happened. I sing country music co thank you so much for giviing me a chance to win a VMA award." Before she could say anymore, Kanye went up and said, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

Taylor Swift and the audience were stunned. Kanye ran away and MTV cut to Pink applauding Taylor. Kanye had ran off with the mic in his hand. When he did hand the mic back, her time was over.

She had to perform soon after that too! Wow Kanye, just when we think that you've learnt your lesson!! So near the end of the show, Beyonce (being the kind woman she is) invited Taylor onstage to make a real acceptance speech. Now Kanye posted on his blog an apology:

“I’m sooooo sorry to taylor swift and her fans and her mom. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… i’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!……………. beyonce’s video was the best of this decade! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down! I’m sorry to my friends at mtv. I will apologize to taylor 2mrw. welcome to the real world! everybody wanna booooo me but i’m a fan of real pop culture! No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the crib right now cause … well you know! i’m still happy for taylor! Boooyaaawwww! you are very very talented! I gave my awards to outkast when they deserved it over me… that’s what it is!! i’m not crazy yall, i’m just real. Sorry for that! I really feel bad for taylor and i’m sincerely sorry! Last night, Anna Wintour went on David Letterman. She was very eloquent and elegant as she discussed the real Anna Wintour, editor in chief of Vogue. I want her job! But anyhow, he disucssed her documentary, The September Issue, and ever bit of new fashion news. She wore a black and white Carolina Herrera dress and made some jokes. Even commented on The Devil Wears Prada, which is actually about her. <3

Are you the next X factor to the supermodel world? Kate Moss and Louis Walsh are said to be teaming up to find the next big thing in modelling. The hunt for the next top model will begin at a charity event, Hoping's got Talent at Cafe de Paris in London later in June. A karaoke competition will be hosted there by Kate to raise money for the Hoping Foundation. <3

Audrina Patridge will be the new face for Carl's Jr. You know how they always use those ads with girls in bikinis eating their burgers? Well Audrina will be the face for the Teriyaki Six Dollar Burger following the footsteps of Paris and PAdma Lakshmi. The commercial will be released June 24! <3

everything is starting up in full force

As the beginning of the week approaches, another Monday rolls around, and as we have to go back to school, our shows begin once again! I'm pretty excited. This includes Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters tonight! Don't forget about all new One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and our other favourites! At least something will keep us sane when we're slaving over homework. <3

The City: Olivia

I don't know if you've seen The City yet but you really should if you haven't. Everyone thinks Olivia is a bitch. She is an Upper East Sider who knows everything about NY. Olivia works in PR at Diane von Furstenberg with Whitney. Her looks remind me slightly of Heidi's, but I think she's super cute and you can tell she's a secret bitch. <3

chick flicks

So yesterday I went to the States for a day trip. Can you believe I bought nothing on a shopping trip!? Nada. So devastating. It really pissed me off actually. Anyhow, I came home and the roads were super icy. It was really sketchy/scary! My friend and I decided to make plans. As I headed down the hill to her house the road narrowed on a 2 way street. My car gave out and wouldn't let me break! It was sooo scary as I was going head on to a huge SUV. Thank God he moved his huge car to the side otherwise there would have been a huge accident.


I ended up getting to my friends house safely. We had a HUGGGE conversation to catch up before watching The House Bunny. We just wanted a light chick flick movie. The movie was dumbly hilarious and extremely predictable. We'd laugh 5 minutes after because we weren't sure whether or not it was just dumb or funny. No matter what, we'd laugh anyways.


And can you believe.... I forgot to watch The City! Whitney's show. I love it. It's better than The Hills and it's oh so juicy. If you haven't watched it, go find it because it's amazing and you havvvveee to watch it. Anyhow, those were my reviews. I ended up going home later laaaater because I was too scared to drive home. But I faced my fears and ended up getting stuck in the snow right outside my friends house. It was sooo annoying and pissed me off. I just didn't know what to do so I called my friend that I just left her house and she was helping me through it. So probably after 15 minutes I got out of that mess of snow! Ahh. Eventful? Perhaps. <3

when one thing ends another begins

As we know, The Hills ended this Monday as the season finale. Well, it's Whitney Port's time to shine as she hits up dream city NY working for DVF. I was reading the cast biography's and it sounds like a very dog eat dog world. It should be very interesting as Whitney seems to be super nice... all the time. Plus the cast seems pretty good looking!!! Her new show airs just before the New Year on December 29th at 10 pm! <3

Stylista has come to an end

So yesterday was the finale of Stylista. Personally I thought that no one was really cut out for the job, but Johanna won the junior editor position! Jealous! Just jealous. Pretty sure she wore the same clothes all the time. Congrats to her, but I'm really rattled about the cast. That is all.<3

jealous of Whitney Port

I hate to admit it but I will... yes, I'm jealous of Whitney Port. She's leading the fashion life that I would loooooove. She works for Diane von Furstenberg okay?! She's establishing herself in the fashion industry and frankly I'm jealous of the super tall, modelesque blonde from the Hills. Grr. P.S. she looks like a goldfish and has zero personality, but yes I am soooo jealous of her and I can't say anything because I don't know her and she is leading the life that is supposed to be MINE! <3

missing out on the world

So I have had no time for myself, yet alone post up anything. It's quite depressing ACTUALLY. 8 finals next week. Great! Anyhow, last night was the VS fashion show. Ofcourse I missed it. But luckily I taped the thing! It's so hard not to read about it, but I don't want to ruin it for myself. Last year was a little bit of a disappointment but hopefully this year will be better!! Yay. After the 12th I'm FREEEEEE!!! <3

Victoria Secret's annual fashion show

All the Victoria's Secret super models were flown into Miami Beach for their extravagant once a year Christmas fashion show. Everyone I mean EVERYONE watches this show. CBS will broadcast the show only on December 3rd, and you can see all your favourite girls including Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Selita Ebanks, and the newest angels Marisa Miller, Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes! December 3rd just got HOT! I'm so stoked, I tape these scanadalous shows every year. <3
