featured artist: M.I.A.

I remember thinking that this music artist was a crazy, wild person when I saw her opening for Gwen Stefani a few years back. Honestly though, I've been really addicted to her beats for a while now. I'm a big fan of bass and her wildness tied in with an Indian twist really does it. I dunno it's just something about her that I like. Everyone's interest in her has probably grown as her song Paper Planes has pretty much made the trailer for Pineapple Express. I've mentioned her starting a clothing line in a previous post if you guys remember. She's such a dope chick. <3

sounds delicious

I don't know where one of my favourite non-alcoholic drinks went but I haven't been able to find them at the usual spot, 7-Eleven. They are the Fuze drinks. I'm not big on pop because I don't really like carbonated drinks. Anyways, these fruity tasty drinks are delicious and come in several flavours. Now, Too Faced (the cosmetic brand) and Fuze have teamed up in creating yummy lip gloss. Flavours include Blueberry Raspberry and Dragon Fruit Lime. They're probably not available in Canada, so maybe the next time I head to Sephora I'll pick some up at $18.50... or not. haha anyways, if anyone tries it out let me know! It sounds juicy. <3

everyone's going green

You know how everyone is promoting a healthier lifestyle, and in every grocery store you'll find non plastic bags which you can purchase? Well its-laS-tik has come up with it's own green bag. They're a pretty dope idea. These bags form to your groceries or contents of the bag. Other bags only carry a certain amount and are heavy, this moves with you as you walk which allows the load to double. The bags also don't go out of shape as they go back to its original form once you take the contents out. They are also washable and reusable. These cool bags are made by Hurrican Katrina survivors in New Orleans. They are approximately $14 for a 12" by 13" bag. Plus they have different designs! If only I did my own grocery shopping.. haha. <3

featured movie: Roman Holiday

So as I said, I would watch Roman Holiday. What I think? I loved it! It's such a good movie, even thought it was black and white. I'm such a sucker for old movies now... officially. The movie was basically about a couped up princess who never had any risk or adventure. She escapes from a palace and bumps into this reporter guy who is supposed to interview her. Anyways, the two end up falling in love but cannot be together in the end because they are from two totally separate worlds. That's the short version. I suggest you go out and get it. The guy is also good looking for an older man. He looks like my grandfather. Hmm.. I'll probably be watching My Fair Lady next. I remember watching it when I was really young, but don't quite remember it. <3

think bright

Today on my break I went to the drugstore to pick up a new nail polish colour. I ended up with a colour I never thought I would buy. Yep, it was ORANGE!! It's actually super cute. I'm liking the bright colours. I really wanted yellow but they didn't have it. So get out there and pick up a nice bright tacky colour for your nails. It's the thing. <3

tick tock tick tock

For those who read my blog I'm sorry if I've missed a couple of days! I'm trying to finish up my summer course which is completed on the 14th. I've been extremely busy with work and school and studying. I'm not even going out this weekend! Be patient! Trust me, I can't wait till it's over too. <3

Beijing Olympics

Yesterday was 08/08/08! That's pretty dope. That date isn't going to come around again in our lifetime! Anyways, it was also the kick off to the Olympics. Yesterday I watched part of the opening ceremony and boy was it spectacular. The 10 months of putting the performance together really paid off. I suggest you watch it! The above pics are from the opening ceremony. As for Vancouver... I love you and all but I don't think we'll be able to measure up. The next winter games relies on us and we happen to have to follow China. I don't know if you saw the last Olympics where we did a tiny performance. It was a joke and so embarrassing. I'm pretty nervous for us! Anyways, the Summer Olympics in Beijing has officially kicked off. Can't wait to see some of the events. <3
