Ralph Lauren got a contract with the US Olympic team to create outfits for 1500 athletes for the opening and closing ceremonies in Beijing. Usually it's done by Roots Ltd. That's right, the Canadian company, but we got traded for Ralph Lauren. No offense but that's big! That's 10 times better than Roots! The committee thought that Roots designs were not formal enough and decided to go with a preppier manner. So smart to class it up with Ralph. Ralph Lauren is getting a bit less the $10 million for this deal, and through this is hoping to get more Chinese clientele. That's right..china dolls like me. The outfits are pretty slick and clean cut I have to say. Very much so on the preppy side, and very formal I must add. But I do like it, compared to the usual sweat suits. Yecch. Athletes like to look good too! <3
